Enchiladas Hondurenos Recipe

The Enchiladas Hondureñas are a dish with a lot of tradition and flavor. Although they are called enchiladas, they are prepared as if they were toasts, with a lot of color. 
A colorful and delicious dish ideal for a special meal or simply to enjoy with the family.

Ingredients

10 tortillas
2 large potatoes
1 cabbage
1-pound ground beef
1 large onion
1 green chili
2 tomatoes cut into slices
1 clove of garlic or garlic powder
3 or 4 boiled eggs
dry parmesan or grated cheese
oil to fry the tortillas
beef or chicken consommé
Dressing
Mayonnaise and ketchup
 
Salsita
1 can of tomato sauce

Directions

Prepare the meat, peel and cut the potatoes into small squares. Add them to the meat along with the beef or chicken consommé. Chop the onion, the chili, and grate the garlic 
or add the garlic powder. Mix all these ingredients and cook them. To fry the tortillas, pour and heat the oil 
in a pan and fry the tortillas.

Preparing the Sauce

In a bowl, pour the can of tomato sauce with a little chopped onion and also a little chicken or beef broth. All this to your taste. Chop the cabbage very finely and finally mix it with the dressing, mayonnaise, and ketchup.

To Serve
 
Place the tortilla on a plate with the meat on top. Then the finely chopped cabbage, sliced tomatoes and eggs (1 or 2 slices) Finally, the sauce, dressing and
grated cheese are placed on top too. If you wish, you can add hot sauce.
