Position Summary 

InspireNOLA Charter Schools is seeking a knowledgeable, dedicated, and detail-oriented Federal Program Specialist. This position will be responsible for effective coordination of Federal Programs, grant oversight and implementation, and data collection and analysis. The Federal Programs Manager will also support the administrative efforts of the Title I Parent and Family Involvement program at the school and district level, including documentation via school visits, technical assistant meetings, events, initiatives, and other related activities and programming.  

Position Qualifications & Competencies 

  • Belief in the mission and values of InspireNOLA;  
  • Bachelor’s degree (required); 
  • Two (2) years of experience as an administrator in the field of federal programs and/or grant/federal fund oversight (strongly preferred);  
  • Two (2) or more years of school and/or district leadership experience (preferred);  
  • Ability to work collaboratively with school team, families, and community members;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 


Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Create and develop annual SuperApp and other federal fund applications for each school LEA, inclusive of the following federal program components: Title I, Title II, Title III, Title IV, and IDEA; 
  • Prepare Federal Monitoring review documents; 
  • Meet with school level personnel directly involved with federal program and/or grant coordination to ensure compliance and timely reporting; 
  • Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations administered by the grantor; oversee special audits conducted by grantor; 
  • Serve as a liaison with principals and other departments on issues regarding grants; 
  • Monitor interventions and programs funded by grants to ensure compliance with grantor guidelines 
  • Assist in evaluating the fiscal administration of grant programs; 
  • Oversee the preparation and timely submission of grant applications, application amendments, and budget transfers; 
  • Work collaboratively with instructional team members and financial grant personnel to ensure compliance;  
  • Development of required Title I Parent and Family Engagement Documentation (i.e., School-Parent compact, Parent and Family Engagement Plans, Annual Title I Parent Meetings, Title I Parent Notifications);
  • Assist with and provide trainings on federal program compliance and regulations to school administrators and personnel related to Parent and Family Involvement programs.
