Coronavirus Updates

Dear InspireNOLA parents and guardians,

I hope this update finds you and your family well.

We will continue to provide information and resources to you as they become available. We will also continue our distance-learning efforts.

We know you may have a lot of questions during this time. We are establishing several ways you can contact us, including six online information sessions with the CEO of InspireNOLA today and tomorrow.

An InspireNOLA live hotline is now open. Parents and students can call 504-656-4218 from 9-11 a.m. Mondays and 3-6 pm. Wednesdays and be connected to an InspireNOLA staff member for assistance.

Teachers and Counselors are now holding “virtual office hours” from 9-11 a.m. every Tuesday and Thursday through Google Classrooms. Teachers can also be contacted at any time through email, Google Classroom and/or Class Dojo. InspireNOLA will continue to send email updates every Wednesday and Friday. Updates and resources can also be found on our website.

If you are new to Google Classrooms, here is a Parent’s Guide that might be of assistance. An instructional video in Spanish is also available. If you need help with Google Classrooms or accessing Power School, please contact your school’s tech support:

PreK through twelfth-grade assignments can be viewed or downloaded from InspireNOLA’s Google Drive. You do not have to print the packets. Assignments for grades 3-12 will also be available on Google Classroom. The online assignments will have translations for our ELL students. Students should check their Google Classroom accounts and the InspireNOLA website regularly as new assignments will be posted there. Please note: These assignments will be used to calculate 4th Quarter grades, so it is important that your student completes this work.

Students who receive services through Exceptional Children Services (ESS) and ELL will have continued support and follow the plan determined by the teacher working with your individual student. Homeroom teachers will be available to answer questions and support students on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. You can find additional ELL resources on our website.


Food hubs are open from 9 a.m.-noon Mondays and Wednesdays only. On Mondays, students will receive meals for two days and on Wednesday they will receive meals for three days. Locations for meal pickup throughout the city can be found here:


InspireNOLA is hosting a virtual spirit week through social media this week. We hope your student (and you) will participate! To join in, simply make a related post to Facebook, Twitter, and/or Instagram and use the hashtag #InspireNOLASpirt. You can also do a search for #InspireNOLASpirt to see what others are sharing!
