Position Summary
Working in a small team, the Student Recruitment Associate is a part-time, seasonal position that is responsible for engaging with and being the first point-of-contact for prospective parents, students, and families in order to increase awareness of and interest in student enrollment at InspireNOLA schools. Student Recruitment Associates are responsible for attending recruitment events and activities. Associates will work as an important part of the InspireNOLA student recruitment team to inform prospective students about InspireNOLA schools and programs. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
This role requires in-person, weekend hours that will mainly be performed outdoors.
Position Qualifications & Competencies
· Belief in the mission, goals, and vision of InspireNOLA;
· Willingness to work a non-standard schedule including nights and weekends;
· Evidence of strong interpersonal and organizational skills;
· Strong planning, timeliness, and ability to meet deadlines;
· Excellent oral and written communication (bilingual English/Spanish preferred) and people skills, with an ability to represent the mission and values of InspireNOLA in conversations;
· Ability to work well with individuals with diverse backgrounds;
· Workload requires local travel; must have access to a reliable, insured vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license;
· Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
· Distributes resource materials for student recruitment, including flyers, postcards, swag items, and other printed materials;
· Attends weekend student recruitment events, including community events, tabling at local businesses, and other related recruitment efforts;
· Collects contact information of prospective parents;
· Informs prospective students and parents about upcoming InspireNOLA events and engagement opportunities.
Compensation & Benefits
Seasonal Student Recruitment Associates are part-time employees and are paid an hourly wage of $18/hr.
