Welcome Letter

Greetings, InspireNOLA Class of 2020 Scholars-

I hope you are well, taking care of yourself and washing your hands!!  I wanted to make sure I had a plan before we reached out to you about your college & career planning & decision making. Because of this international pandemic, many of the last opportunities you had to help you finalize your plans such as the ACT, Accuplacer, ASVAB or Workkeys are now uncertain. I am extremely sorry about that. Many of you were working so hard, and I can only imagine how that may feel. I want you to know that whatever the future holds, you all will be successful at anything you decide to do. You all are leaders; any college, university, trade school, program or career field will be lucky to have you.

We are now in a space where you all need to make decisions based on where you are right now. I understand that some of you may not be happy with that, and that is okay and it is okay to feel disappointed. What you have to do now is make the best decision for you.
We are still here to support you every step of the way. Your counselors will be calling you in the coming weeks to talk through your next steps together. After your phone meeting, you may be working closely with the College and Career Readiness Specialist to complete all of your necessary college & career steps. We are all here to help support you make it to your next goal!
