Communications

Communication is key in any relationship, but especially when it comes to the education of your child. We believe in two-way conversations with our families, and we want to make sure you know what is happening in your child's classroom, school, and with InspireNOLA.

Teacher-to-Parent communication centers around instruction, assignment, and classroom-related conversations. Parents are encouraged to reach out to teachers regarding questions on instruction, assignments, and grades.

Staff-to-Parent communication may be topic-specific such as technology issues, IEP discussions, extra-curricular activities/sports, etc. Please reach out to the appropriate staff member for these topics.

School-to-Parent communication will keep you informed of news and events at your school such as activities, PTO events, reminders, etc. If you have any questions regarding school happenings, policy, safety concerns, etc., please reach out to your school leader.

InspireNOLA-to-Parent communication includes organization-wide news and updates, emergency communication, parent newsletters, etc. You can reach InspireNOLA's central staff at 504-227-3057 or [email protected]

Emergency communications

Your child’s safety is a top priority for InspireNOLA Charter Schools. Should an emergency situation ever arise in our area while school is in session, we want you to be aware that InspireNOLA has made preparations to communicate effectively about such events. Parents will be notified and given instructions through a number of channels including, but not limited to:

  • An automated phone call
  • A mass email
  • A mass text message
  • A push notification through the InspireNOLA app
  • InspireNOLA’s website:
  • InspireNOLA’s social media accounts

Below are some steps you can take to assist us in the event of an emergency.

  • Make sure your child’s school has your up-to-date contact information, including phone numbers and email addresses.
  • If a crisis arises, do not telephone the school. Telephone lines may be needed for emergency communication.
  • Do not arrive at the school unless school officials say it is okay to do so. The area may not be safe, and roads should be kept open for emergency personnel. In the event of a lockdown or lockout, no one other than First Responders will be permitted to enter the building.
  • In the event of an emergency that requires student pickup, students will be kept at their schools or a safe location until they are picked up. STUDENTS WILL BE RELEASED ONLY TO PARENTS AND PERSONS IDENTIFIED ON THE EMERGENCY FORM. Photo identification will be required for pickup. Please instruct your student to remain at school until you or a designee arrives.
  • Impress upon your children the need for them to follow the directions of any school personnel in times of an emergency.

We look forward to a safe, successful school year. If you have any questions regarding school safety or safety procedures, please contact your school leader.
