Edna Karr Class of 2021 graduate Taylor Morris will have her artwork featured on the official cup of the 2022 Muses parade.
Morris won the design competition in fall of 2019, when she was a senior at Karr, but the 2020 parade was canceled as a result of the pandemic.
At Karr, Morris was part of the Talented Visual Arts program, and was accepted to Savannah College of Art and Design. She currently has a website dedicated to her work and says she's in the middle of a secret project.
"I can't really say," she said with a smile. "It's going to be really big and be on TV soon!"
In the meantime, parade-goers can hope to own a piece of her work. The cup design is printed on more than 80,000 cups, which will be thrown by Krewe members from the Muses floats on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 6:30 p.m.
