By enrolling your elementary student at 42 Charter School or our newest school, Pierre Capdau, you will be laying a foundation for future success that can continue through graduation from McDonogh 35. Seats are currently available at both elementary schools and the historic high school.
Pierre A Capdau Charter School joined the InspireNOLA network in July 2020. With a student to staff ratio of 10:1, Capdau challenges scholars to achieve high academic success, embrace a social awareness, and strive to be well-rounded individuals. Capdau has received an Excellent rating from the state for its Early Education Program.
42 Charter School was named one of the Outstanding Schools in Greater New Orleans by LDOE. With a student to staff ratio of 7:1, preK-8th grade students get the benefit of small class size, daily innovation hour, and accelerated classes.
McDonogh 35 is steeped in history as the first public African American high school in the state, graduating such notables as Ernest Nathan Morial, first African-American mayor of New Orleans and Neil Smith, two-time Super Bowl champion. Featuring a student to staff ratio of 11:1, McDonogh 35 had a 100 percent graduation rate in 2020, with seniors amassing nearly $1.4 million in college scholarships.
