NOLA Public Schools announced that the Louisiana Office of Public Health has approved its request to add COVID-19 immunizations to the immunization schedule for all students in New Orleans Parish effective February 1, 2022.
Families may claim an exemption to this requirement for philosophical, religious, or medical needs. Families may use this form to claim an exemption and submit to their students school.
Everyone 5 years of age or older is eligible for a COVID-19 vaccination. Visit NOLA Ready, Louisiana Department of Health website or Vaccines.gov to find a list of vaccine locations and events.
Vaccines for kids 5-11
Most sites that offer the pediatric Pfizer vaccine are by appointment only.
Vaccines for kids 12-17
Please remember, a student isn’t considered fully vaccinated until two weeks after the second dose of the vaccine.
Students age 16 and older should get a COVID booster shot. Boosters are available at all the above locations.
